There are two hot Radiohead stories today, each worthy of its own screaming headline.
Story 1: We have video below of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood covering the excellent Portishead song “The Rip” on two acoustic guitars. It was posted this weekend by bandmate Colin Greenwood and reportedly filmed in St. Louis before the band’s May 14 show.
Yorke has praised the new Portishead album Third, calling it “dark as man. Definitely their best record, there’s no doubt about that.” He also called “The Rip” his “favourite” track on the album.

Story 2: Radiohead premiered a new song at two shows this weekend in Ireland at Dublin’s Malahide Castle. It’s called “Super Collider” by most fans. Thom Yorke performed it solo on his piano.
The best-quality audio (MP3) we could find is here, taken from a fan’s video camera on the second night. “I’m gonna do it again,” Yorke said, introducing the song, “this time remembering what the words are.”
Thom also played part of the new song on piano and hummed some lyrics during an interlude at a BBC performance on April 1.
