The recent Weezer show at MSG was a very strange spectacle. On the one hand, classics like “Pink Triangle” and “Say It Ain’t So” were electrifying. On the other, songs like “Beverly Hills” and this “Troublemaker” were troubling — emotionless and, frankly, lame compared to their earlier work.
Fortunately, we have cover bands like the Blue Album Group to hold it down.
