Joe And Will Ask?, a London-based DJ/production duo, have blown us away lately.
Firstly, check out their great new (unofficial) remix of the Ellien Allien & Apparat track “Do Not Break.” (We’ve discussed Allien here if you’d like to read more.)

And here’s an excellent original track of theirs, “Surge.” Try to contain yourself and your love for electronic music when that main riff comes back in around the four-minute mark.

If you’re a DJ, don’t worry. The epileptic club-goers will be the owners’ problem, not yours.
Check out the rest of their originals on Beatport.
Another of Joe and Will’s unofficially remixed tracks — although they do have several that are sanctioned — is Crystal Castles’ “Air War.” The original recently got a new jolt of popularity due to its inclusion in a Toshiba ad. A clip of their remix is found on this party promo video:

Joe and Will met in 2005, both from different musical backgrounds, Joe having been involved in the drum and bass scene, and Will having been a hard house and techno fan.
They began their collaberation, and since then they have progressed their sound into something extremely energetic and playful whilst keeping a dark, atmospheric edge. Since summer 2007 they have been extremely busy playing at the hottest nights in London (Matter, Trailor Trash, Durrr, Club NME, Boombox, Scala, Ministry of Sound, the Egg) to name a few (see the flyers section in ‘photos’ for more information on their gigging history), as well as playing in Berlin, Florence, Milan, Budapest, Bucharest, Lille, Ghent, Brighton, Bristol, Manchester and Bournemouth.
2008 has been a year of producing for Joe and Will, and they have completed 14 remixes for various bands and producers, all listed below. These remixes have received club play all over the world, by DJs such as Brodinski, Kris Menace, Vicarious Bliss, Casper C, We’re Not Cool, Stopmakingme and many more. They have released 3 solo eps and have two more to come out in the next couple of months.
Joe and Will are adaptable DJs who like to play to any crowd but their heart lies in techno and minimal, and they feel most at home on a huge soundsystem with big bass.
Joe and Will Ask? live consists of the pair playing a set entirely of their own material using Laptops and Midi controllers. The set is hard, energetic and has been received very well by all kinds of crowds.
