WENN reports that James Iha, formerly of The Smashing Pumpkins, Taylor Hanson of… Hanson, Cheap Trick’s Bun E. Carlos, and Fountains Of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger have formed a band called Tinted Windows that has already recorded a debut album. The band will make its debut at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin in March.

TheMusic.FM can exclusively report that the band recorded at Stratosphere Sound in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood, which is logical, as it is partly owned by both Iha and Schlesinger. Geoff Sanoff was the engineer.

TheMusic.FM expects the band’s debut album to be released on S-Curve or New Line Records.
