To think one of winter’s best shows, comprising two of Britain’s most hyped bands was enough. With news that Friendly Fires was going to be supported by The xx on their upcoming tour, we were all pretty happy. Friendly Fires put on consistently great live shows and it was sure to be electric with 2009 breakout sensations The xx. Well, it just keeps getting better as Holly Miranda is set to join them for the first half of the tour.

Brooklyn based, the singer/songwriter has a debut album set to be released in 2010. In the meantime she’s releasing a 7″ on November 17th. The single will include “Forest Green Oh Forest Green” and a cover of Yoko Ono’s “Nobody Sees Me Like You Do” which is sure to make knees weak. Check out the live take of “Joints” above and all dates below, which hopefully expands to the NYC date at Webster Hall.
