If you are not that familiar with Aloha, don’t worry you’re not alone. They have been flying under the radar, but these extremely talented multi-instrument musicians are set to release another collection of beautifully crafted tunes. Home Acres will be released on March 9th, 2010.
Aloha, the band, consists T.J Lipple, Tony Cavallario, Matthew Gengler and Cale Parks, who just released a solo album and toured with Passion Pit (read our review). The band is scattered across the East coast and the record has been three years in the making. The album promises a unique combination of sound and production. Everything and the kitchen sink will be in the music. From guitars, drums, keys, strings, marimbas, plus some fancy production thrown in for good measure. The lush melodies and tight structures are sure to reign in the spiraling sounds.
Check out videos for “Summer Away” and “You’ve Escaped” from the album Here Comes Everyone for a small dose of what will be your new favorite band. The track list for Home Acres is below.
