Pin Me Down is going to be fighting for a spot on your music player of choice. Discerning ears might pick up the angular riffs that will make you pause and say “Oh, that’s Bloc Party” — and you’d almost be correct. Russell Lissack, lead guitarist of Bloc Party, has been working with Melina Mepris on this project. The duo has combined electro sounds with pop-friendly guitar riffs and Mepris’ attitude-laden vocals. Best labeled as pop, the band’s new work doesn’t hark back to the glory days of girl-led pop bands, but instead they are pushing it forward and bringing something new to the table.
The band has just launched a new website at PinMeDown.Net and to celebrate the occasion they released a new track “Time Crisis.” Check it out below and you can download it for the price of an email.
