After playing some West Coast shows last year, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and his other band Atoms For Peace — including bassist Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joey Waronker (who worked with Elliott Smith and Beck), percussionist Mauro Refosco, and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich — are finally about to embark on a somewhat broader US tour. It includes stops in New York, California, Boston, Chicago and at Coachella.
Atoms for Peace is also the name of a song off Yorke’s 2006 solo album, The Eraser. In related news, Yorke discouraged the development of nuclear power on a post on Radiohead’s blog several months ago, linking to information from Greenpeace and Friends Of The Earth.
