Friday is always a good day for catching up and adding a little something extra to something already announced. Pitchfork and Bonnaroo just announced several additions and they are sure to quell some fans and anger others.
Pitchfork Music Festival was already shaping up to be an indie dream come true and with these additions; it almost seems too good to be true. We already knew the lineup included headliners Pavement, LCD Soundsystem, and Modest Mouse. It gets even better when Panda Bear, Girls, Broken Social Scene, El-P, and The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion are announced. The lineup looks stacked and three day passes are completely sold out. Head over to Pitchforkmusicfestival.com for single day tickets.
Bonnaroo had plenty of press for their use of social networks as they announced their lineup throughout the day. As fun as it was for us bloggers to track each addition, the lineup looks like it has something for everyone. With the roster almost completely filled out the additions only add to the strength of the festival. The first wave of additions include Ween, Umphrey’s McGee, The John Butler Trio, Brandi Carlisle, and The Gossip.
