Massive Attack, MGMT, and Thievery Corporation will be joined by more than 25 additional acts who will perform in Asheville, North Carolina this October for MoogFest 2010.
From October 29-31, the artists will perform in venues throughout downtown Asheville, the home of Moog Music. The company is known for its pioneering role in the production of electronic synthesizers beginning in the 1950s.
The complete schedule of artists and events for MoogFest 2010 will be announced on July 27 and tickets will go on sale July 30.
In addition to shows at venues including the Asheville Civic Center Arena, the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, and the famous club, the Orange Peel, there will be workshops, panel discussions with artists, art exhibitions, installations and film screenings, and a variety of Moog instruments to try.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Voyager, one of the most popular of the Moog synthesizers, which will be a focus of MoogFest 2010.
The event is a product of AC Entertainment, the same creator and producer of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Big Ear Festival, and Vegoose.
