After her recent New York HARD Fest set was cut short due to a storm, M.I.A. promised New Yorkers a free show to make up for it. She finally tipped us off on Friday via Twitter that a free show to be held at Brooklyn Bowl was in the works. We now have the details, straight from her label, Interscope:
The free NYC show will happen Wednesday, October 6 at Brooklyn Bowl. “It will be first-come first-serve to capacity,” for an 18+ crowd, according to a release. “Doors open at 9.30 p.m. Lining up begins at 7pm that night.”
She also plays tonight at New York’s Terminal 5. Additional tickets were released today and are available at the box office.
Over the weekend, M.I.A. a.k.a. Maya tweeted a link to her new site facebookgooglemyspaceyoutube.com, which offers a short music clip and reminds us that all our Internet traffic is “connected to the government.”
Also last week, she tweeted a link to an unreleased demo produced by Diplo.
