Ready to get your dancing shoes on? While Randall’s Island tends to be the destination for outdoor festival settings in New York, Governor’s Island has becoming a destination for music goers. Further solidifying that fact is the just announced Governor’s Ball Music Festival that kicks off on June 18.
The Governor’s Ball Music Festival, a one-day event will be host to Girl Talk, Empire of the Sun, Pretty Lights, Big Boi, Neon Indian, People Under the Stairs, Mac Miller, Miami Horror, Outasight, Reptar, and a Passion Pit DJ set. The festival will feature two stages and promises no overlapping sets.
So the question is how to get to Governor’s Island and when can you get tickets? You can get to the island via ferry, and the cost of that is included in your ticket. Head here for more info about the ferry, frequency, and where to catch it.
Tickets go on sale February 24. Early Bird tickets are $75 and VIP is $150. Once the Early Bird tickets are gone, tickets will go up to $85 and after that $95. Head here for your ticket needs.
