Fools Gold Records opens its new Brooklyn retail store today, called (and located at) 536 Metropolitan in Williamsburg. “Debut products include limited-edition collaborations with Members Only, Pijama, AiAiAi and more,” the label writes on its blog (full details there).
Label founder A-trak just posted the following to Facebook: “New York! I have a lil secret to tell you. Tonight: Fool’s Gold x Members Only party at the Westway (old strip club by the West Side Highway) with Brothers Macklovitch, Danny Brown & friends. Open bar starts at 8pm, come early. 75 Clarkson.”
Brothers Macklovitch is, of course, A-trak and his brother Dave 1, of Chromeo fame.
