After midnight on Friday, the well-known live karaoke night at Arlene’s Grocery (Lower East Side, NYC) was treated to a performance by a surprise visitor: actor/comedian Jim Carey.
Backed by Arlene’s World Famous Live Rock N Roll Karaoke Band, Carey performed the Bee Gee’s “I Started A Joke,” Radiohead’s “Creep,” and The Smashing Pumpkins’ “Bullet With Butterfly Wings.”
This gave us an excuse to find some recent remixes of a Pumpkins classic:
