As part of The Creators Project’s return to New York, we’ve discussed Karen O’s stage production, Stop the Virgens, but not the actual event itself. That’s all about to change as The Creators Project announced their return to New York, this time to DUMBO on October 15 and 16.
Florence and The Machine – Swimming
Last year, The Creators Project brought acts like Interpol, MIA, Sleigh Bells, Gang Gang Dance, Neon Indian and Die Antwoord to the Milk Studios. The Creators Project is moving to Brooklyn this year and its initial lineup is no sophomore slump.
Florence and the Machine headlines the artist lineup which includes Four Tet, Atlas Sound, Yuksek, The Field, Company Flow and Nosaj Thing. Full list of artists is after the jump.
The Creators Project would not be complete without some stunning visual installations. This year will feature a short film collaboration between Mick Rock and Barney Clay for Life On Mars Revisited that will take on David Bowie’s classic song. Other installations include projects by Jonathan Glazer and Spiritualized’s J. Spaceman and a thirty foot installation by UVA. The Spike Jonze and Arcade Fire film, Scenes from the Suburbs, will also be screened. Full details are below.
