The Great GoogaMooga is a two day music and food festival set to take over Prospect Park. While we knew some of the culinary talent involved with the fest already, the music acts were just announced. The best part is that admission is free.
Daryl Hall and John Oates will be headlining The Great Googa Mooga on Sunday, May 20, 2012. Hall and Oats will be joined by Fitz and the Tantrums, Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, Escort and Lez Zeppelin.
For Saturday, May 19, 2012, Holy Ghost! will headline alongside Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Bear Hands, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Fort Lean will also be performing on Saturday.
The Great GoogaMooga is presented by Superfly, the same people as Bonnaroo so expect a great experience with a diverse selection of music, food and entertainment.
While the admission is free, the food will cost you. The Great GoogaMooga will feature close to 75 restaurants & vendors, 35 brewers, and 100 wines from standouts like Colicchio and Sons, Baohaus, Luke’s Lobsters, DBGB Kitchen and Bar, Big Gay Ice Cream, Blue Ribbon, Dinosaur BBQ and M. Wells.
You can register for tickets here. Once you register, you and three friends can enjoy the day of music and fun.
While admission is free, fans who want to get in on some exclusive stuff can sign up for Extra Mooga. For $275, you’ll get drinks and special food experiences with Aziz Ansari, Anthony Bourdain, James Murphy, April Bloomfield and Marcus Samuelson as well as exclusive viewing areas. Head here for the full schedule of events.
