LA duo Poolside has been making waves with their chilled out-disco tracks, like the great “Do You Believe?,” which was just released on the new Future Disco compilation, titled Poolside Sounds. (Coincidence?)
Ahead of their debut album, Pacific Standard Time, which is set for a July 9 release, Poolside today debuted this great new track, aptly named “Slow Down.” And its music video.
Poolside - Slow DownThe song harks back to Simon & Garfunkel’s “59th Street Bridge Song,” aka “Feelin Groovy.” S&G famously sang, “Slow down, you move too fast. You got to make the morning last.” Poolside echoes with “Stop. Don’t think so fast. Slow down. Let this feeling last.” Similar effect. I’m relaxed. (Wish I were relaxed poolside.)
Poolside also recently remixed The Rapture’s “In The Grace Of Your Love”:

And don’t miss the mixes that they’ve posted up on Soundcloud.
