Converse City Carnage is all set to take over New York over the course of two days. The events will combine skating and music cultures and will feature headlining sets by The Kills and Sleigh Bells. Best of all? It’s free.
The first Converse City Carnage will take place on July 20 and July 21. On July 20th the focus will be on skateboarding as a demonstration will take place on July 20 at Hudson River Park’s Pier 62 Skate Park. On July 21 Sleigh Bells will be headlining in the field next to Pier 62 and will also feature sets by JEL and Mr. Dream.
The next Converse event will take place on August 17 and 18. The two days will follow a similar format with The Kills headlining on August 18. Black Bananas and VIVA VIVA will be opening the show.
The shows will be free but don’t worry about RSVP’s or waiting on a long line with no guarantee of admission. All shows are ticketed and go on sale June 22, 2012 at noon. You can get tickets to the Sleigh Bells show here and The Kills show here. There is a two ticket limit per order.
