James Iha has debuted the music video for “To Who Knows Where,” the first single off his forthcoming album Look To The Sky (album details here).
The video, directed by Adam Neustadter, was inspired by David Bowie’s 1976 film The Man Who Fell to Earth.
“This video is our homage to the cult classic – from the cinematography to the wardrobe styling,” Iha said. “The general idea was to allude to weird story lines that were never explained. I come down from another planet, there are men following me, there’s a mysterious woman, and I hope to find my way back to my home planet. It’s like a lot of 70′s movies.”
It was filmed throughout the Joshua Tree National Park and downtown Los Angeles using both the state-of-the-art ARRI Alexa camera and a massive anamorphic zoom lens from the 70′s.
