On May 10th, 2012 (this Thursday), Flux Pavilion will be bringing his world famous dubstep sounds to New York’s Roseland Ballroom. He is also bringing heavy hitters Downlink and Cookie Monsta.
Flux Pavilion co-founded Circus records with Dr. P and has given us great tracks such as “I Can’t Stop”, “Bass Cannon” and most recently “Daydreamer”. The song, which you can check out above, has been remixed by Jack Beats, Danny Byrd, and Dillion Francis.
We plan to stay up late and let the bass cannon kick it this Thursday! Check back after the event for photos and coverage.
Miike Snow, on the strength of two records and a hit song, sold out three nights at Terminal 5. At the end of their first show in New York, the question was not how they managed to sell 9,000 tickets but what bigger venue will hold them next.
Miike Snow tend to keep things a tad mysterious but have definitely let the veil of secrecy drop a bit. Still donning masks to start the show — gold, this time, instead of the white half-masks that they used previously — it hard to not recognize the members of the band or their great achievements. Most fans know the Grammy-winning production duo of Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg (who go by Bloodshy and Avant), and, of course, lead singer Andrew Wyatt.
A few weeks ago, Act I of Cosmic Opera was unleashed upon New York. Naturally when the night ended on Act I we were eager to see where the Cosmic Opera was heading. (Click here for our review)
Now it’s time for Act II of the Cosmic Opera, Imbroglio, which will take place on April 05 and April 06. Fedde Le Grand will headline both nights at the Cosmic Opera. Zedd, Felix Cartal, Funkagenda, Dave Berrie and Matt Goldman will be supporting acts for Act II. The lineup is full of big names who bring big energy, so we have a hunch that Act II will be a big success.
On April 05, Le Grand will be joined by Zedd, Funkagenda and dBerrie. On April 06, Le Grand and Zedd will be joined by Felix Cartal and Matt Goldman.
First up we will be heading to Anomaly at Terminal 5 on March 31 to check out Laidback Luke, Martin Solveig, Mt. Eden, Felguk, Pierce Fulton. This lineup is impressive, bringing a wide variety of music styles.
Martin Solveig has seen a sharp rise to fame in the past few years. Not only a great DJ but a well respected producer. “Hello,” Solveig’s track featuring Dragonette can be heard…well pretty much everywhere. His latest album SMASH can be summed up in a few short words…PURE ELECTRONIC FUN.
Laidback Luke and Martin Solveig are making the most out of their time in NY and doing double duty this weekend. Luke will be playing at Terminal 5 then will be heading over to Pacha, which recently won the best US club at the International Dance Music Awards. He will be supported by Swanky Tunes and Oliver Twizt. The show is called Speak Up which is the name of his latest track featuring Wynter Gordon. Luke always brings the energy and we are excited to see him again.
Solveig will be headlining Lavo after his set at Terminal. The show starts at 11 and head here for more details.
It is going to be a fun and long night of dancing, but we are definitely up for it. Hope to see all you guys at the shows.

The Bingo Players (Paul Bäumer and Maarten Hoogstraten) have been putting together great tunes since 2006, but they’ve seen a surge in exposure recently with hits like “Mode” and “Cry Just A Little” with its unmistakable sample of 80s pop artist Brenda Russell. And the high-profile Axwell just dropped the dutch duo’s newest track “L’amour” at Cosmic Opera. It’s new video is below.
