Supergroup Atoms For Peace debuted a new track “Default” on iTunes today. Label XL Recordings followed up by posting the above video.
Atoms for Peace includes Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich, Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, drummer Joey Waronker, and percussionist Mauro Refosco.
The band shares its name with that of a speech by former US President Dwight D. Eisenhower and a song from Yorke’s debut solo album The Eraser.
SoMe, who’s known for all his work with the Ed Banger crew, produced this new video for Diplo’s Jamaican-influenced jam “Get Free” which features Dirty Projectors’ Amber Coffman:
James Iha has debuted the music video for “To Who Knows Where,” the first single off his forthcoming album Look To The Sky (album details here).
The video, directed by Adam Neustadter, was inspired by David Bowie’s 1976 film The Man Who Fell to Earth.
“This video is our homage to the cult classic – from the cinematography to the wardrobe styling,” Iha said. “The general idea was to allude to weird story lines that were never explained. I come down from another planet, there are men following me, there’s a mysterious woman, and I hope to find my way back to my home planet. It’s like a lot of 70′s movies.”
It was filmed throughout the Joshua Tree National Park and downtown Los Angeles using both the state-of-the-art ARRI Alexa camera and a massive anamorphic zoom lens from the 70′s.
Little Dragon releases a track “Sunshine” this week, which was featured in this music video (that doubles as an Absolut vodka promo) that debuted during The Daily Show on Comedy Central last night:
Crystal Castles’ reps say the band is recording their third album in Warsaw, Poland and that it will be released this summer through Fiction Records. Meanwhile, the duo has just offered this new video for their sophomore-album track “Suffocation,” and the LA band HEALTH has just remixed it.
